Capacity Building Through Nursing Preceptorship and
Empowering Nursing Skill in HIV/AIDS
The inauguration was held on 11th March 2009 at Kilpauk Medical
College Hospital Auditorium. It was presided by the Principal
Secretary, Special Secretary, Dean, KMC Hospital, Additional
Director of DMS, Deputy Director of DMS and Registrar of TNNMC.
All JDs / CMOs / Private Management / Principal were present.
A module was developed by the nursing experts and was released
on the inauguration function.
The workshop was funded by Tamilnadu State AIDS Control Society.
The Workshop is planned to be conducted in 5 phases. Each
phase is scheduled for 3 days. Three components are included
in the workshop. They are technical, psychological and HIV
& AIDS.
The experts were from various departments Nursing, Medical,
TANSAC and Psychology.
It is planned to issue Certificate for the Resource Persons
and the Participants.
The Workshop will be conducted at Dhyana Ashram, Chennai.
The Workshop schedule is expected to be completed by the
month of May 2009.
