Avvai School of Nursing is the unit of Thanumalayen Educational Trust. The Trust was established in the year 2006 by philanthropic couple Mr.T.Bhagavathy and his wife Mrs.B.Neelavathy in memory of Late Sri E. Thanu father of Mr. Bhagavathy.   The Trust  is  engaged in many activities like  imparting  education and  vocational training.   The School was started  in the year 2009  with  the aim of training 20 students annually in General Nursing and Midwifery. This is the Diploma Course for 3-1/2 years.  Permission has been accorded by the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamilnadu and Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives council.
