The Bodi Paraa Medical college was established in the year 1999 with the core purpose of promoting professional education with all physical facilities & faculty positions as per the Indian Nursing Council norms. The school of nursing was inaugurated by” Honorable   Sri.P.T.R.Palanivel raj  Tamilnadu Assembly Speaker” on 23.08.1999. Main aim is to provide good & well trained nursing staff at rural area with its healthy professional emphasis, unique approach & relevant course programmes. It is functioning with the mind to serve the humanity. In 2007 it is the fifth batch of students joined the course.

The  college is managed and run by one of the leading Educational conglomeration, “SOUTHEN GROUP”.The SAMS BODI PARA MEDICAL COLLEGE” is a unit of Bodi charitable trust firm® and it was established in the year 1999 with the core purpose of promoting professional education, specially developing and nurturing the best in Paraa Medical Education at the rural area, with its healthy professional emphasis, unique approach and relevant course programmes the Sams Bodi Para Medical college has given birth to the school of nursing where the “Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery- 3  years programme started in the year of 2000 and its functioning with the mind to serve the humanity . From 2007 the Diploma in General nursing and midwifery course has been changed into 3 ½ years programme.
