Program of Study:  (GNM) Diploma Nursing
Scope of nursing education is quite encouraging, career oppurtunities for nurses span a vast range of disciplines in India and across the globe.
The GNM nursing programme is a 3 1/2 year course planned for 3 non semesters. During the programme along with theory, clinical experience in the hospital and community will be provided. Examinations will be conducted by Board under the Director of Medical Education at the  end of each year.

Application  Form
Application form and prospectus can be obtained online{www.cihs.in} or from the Principal, Cherraan’s College of Nursing,Coimbatore, on payment Rs.350/- by cash/DD drawn in favour of Cherraan Foundation Trust, payable at Coimbatore.

Eligibility
Minimum and maximum age for admission is 17 and 25 years respectively.
Candidates should have passed 10+2 of schooling.
They should have passed either the higher secondary examinations conducted by the Government of    TamilNadu or an equivalent examination accepted by the governing council of TamilNadu. 
10 + 2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 40% marks. 
Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course are eligible.
Eligibility certificate/migration certificate(for candidates who have completed the qualifying exams from other states outside TamilNadu.

Certificates and Document
Secondary school leaving certificate, higher secondary examination certificate.
Marksheet of +2 or pre degree or equivalent.
Conduct Certificate from Head of the Institution wherein the applicant studied for her qualifying examination.
Medical fitness certificate.

College Fees
Each candidate selected for admission should pay the fees during registration. Then at the beginnig of each year should comply with all the admission requirements and pay all the fees for the year, failing which she/he shall not be allowed to attend classes. If the student for any personal reason voluntarily wishs to discontinue, then they must pay the tution fees alone for the remaining semesters.

Uniform
students are required to wear the uniform prescribed by the college during clinical experiences.
Students should have their hair put up and should wear only prescribed footwears.
Students are not allowed to wear any jewellery except small earings during the clinical experience.

CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE
Student should make every effort to take care of the college, and hostel property.
Any willful  damage done to the property of the college,and hostel will be dealt with as a breach of  discipline.
Students are required to abide by the rules and regulations laid by the college authorities. Violation of rules will entail disciplinary action.
Students are required to maintain ethical and professional standards and behaviours.
Students should not involve themselves in any ragging activity, if found ragging, action will be taken according to the Government guidelines.

Voluntary withdrawal
Students who voluntarily withdraw from the college shall be required to pay full fees for the entire course. The fees already paid will not be refunded.

Health Services
A comprehensive health programme is available to all students. The preventive health programme includes routine laboratory test and immunizatons. Students must undergo a complete health check up on admission and thereafter every year. Illness will be treated as promptly as it arises.

Minimum Age: Should have completed 17 years as on 31st December of the year.
Candidates should have passed 10+2 of schooling.
They should have passed either the higher secondary examinations conducted by the Government of TamilNadu or an equivalent examination accepted by the governing council of the TamilNadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University. In the qualifying examination they must have obtained a minimum of 45% as aggregate.
Eligibility certificate/migration certificate(for candidates who have completed the qualifying exams from other states outside TamilNadu.

Duration : 2years
Eligibility: B.Sc.Nursing/Poat Basic Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and one year of experience after Basic B.Sc. or Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing
Fee: As per the Government of TamilNadu and The TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R.Medical University norms.

Duration : 2years
Eligibility: Candidates should have passed 10+2 of schooling  + GNM
