The Christian College of Nursing established in 1987 is one among the first private nursing colleges in Tamil Nadu.       
It aims to provide high quality nursing education and to inculcate a spirit of service and compassion in its students.
It is a unit of the Christian Fellowship Community Health Centre Society begun by Padmabhushan  Dr. Jacob Cherian  and Dr. Mary Cherian who in the 1960’s decided to serve the needy in a rural area of central Tamil Nadu.The work began as a secondary level hospital ventured into training of nursing professionals and other health related activities.
