Achivements:

The first batch student won the first prize in Aids awareness programme conducted by Madras Corporation.
Alumini is being conducted every year.  Till now three reunion meeting were conducted. All the students were well placed.The Souvenir is being released in the history of school of Nursing.The students of MAC-SON participated the Immunization programme sponsored by Chennai Gas agency.The students are participating in the Pulse Polio programme regularly.Every year students are being taken to Gandhi Gram for rural health programme and also visit to Kodikanal.Faculties are sponsored to attend the Workshop and Seminar periodically.Staff Welfare programme once in a year is being arranged.


2007-2008 : 20 students joined the course. Lamp Lighting programme was held on 5.10.08. Obtained Indian Nursing  Council  extension of validity period for the year 2008-2009. Cultural and sports meet was held. Conducted FOOD FUN CARNIVAL on December 2007. Graduation function was held on 22.02.08 TNAI life membership of third batch 20 students arranged , obtained and distributed to the students. Likewise RNRM from Tamil Nadu Nursing Council was also obtained and distributed to the Students. 58 students and faculty were taken to 0oty. One first and third year student discontinued the course due to personal reason now the number on roll is 58. All the students wrote their board exam in May 2008 and awaiting for the result. Staff development programme on Trends in nursing was arranged and all the teachers and the finial year students were participated. Monthly SNA meeting is being regularly conducted Monthly faculty meeting also is being regularly conducted. WHO day was celebrated on 29th April 2008. Workshop on  “Protecting Health From Climatic Change.” was held on the same day.   All the faculties and students were participated. Nurse’s day on 12th May 2008  was held by arranging the workshop on the theme. 5 faculties were deputed to attend the workshop on “Being Inspiring Nurse Teacher.”
