The Madras Medical Mission is a not for profit organisation that continuously strives to be a centre of excellence that provides comprehensive, quality health care and medical education with ethical values.

The origin of this Premier Institute goes back to the summer of 1982, with the formation of the Madras Medical Mission as a not for profit organization. This was inspired by the missionary zeal of His Grace Bishop Zachariah Mar Dionysins and backed by the commitment of the doctors and members of the Orthodox Syrian Christian community at Chennai who promoted this registered charitable society.

MMM College of Nursing is a unit of The Madras Medical Mission It was started in the academic year 2008 and has been formally sanctioned by Government of Tamilnadu (G.O.293 dated 11.08.2007).The college is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and by Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives council. The college is located at Nolambur.
