Profile

Soosaiya Peter education Trust was found by the philanthropist and a Business tycoon Dr. S. Peter on October 3, 1996 at Chennai. This is a registered Christian Minority Trust. The Trust, under Madha Group of Academic Institutions, has founded Madha Engineering College, Madha College of Nursing, Madha college of Physiotherapy and Madha Teacher Training Institute.

The Madha College of Nursing Emblem comprises of a toothed wheel within which Mother Mary, who is the embodiment of love, patience and nobility is carrying Infant Jesus in Her arms.

The inscription on our College logo “xsp ngWf” which means spreading the light, is our motto in trained our students. The students of this institution are trained to provide comprehensive health care to individuals and families keeping in mind the ethical values.

The faculty understands the noble task assigned to them and prepares the students to achieve high standards in their profession as well as personal life. They accept the code “Arise and Shine – Care with Compassion and commitment” and inculcate the same in the students.

MISSION

The students of Madha College of Nursing are trained to provide comprehensive health care to different types of patients in different hospitals and to give holistic care to the people in the community keeping in mind the ethical and  cultural values. The students also trained to become efficient managers , leaders , staff nurses, educators  and researcher to work in India and other parts of the world.

VISION

On completion of this program, the student will be able to:

  1. Deliver nursing care applying scientific principles
  2. Analyze critically the concepts of Nursing and modern approaches to Nursing care.
  3. Identify theories related to care of patients.
  4. Demonstrate technical and competent skills in providing care to patients.
  5. Indicate current and future trends in the management of patient care.
  6. Apply the ethical principles in giving primary care to individuals and families in the community.
  7. Integrate the allied health science while planning and delivering care to individuals and family.
  8. Demonstrate high standards of professional behaviour by taking active nursing practice.
  9. Comprehend the overview of Nursing research and importance of research in nursing practice.
  10. Participate and conduct research studies to improve the body of knowledge in our profession.
  11. Demonstrate communication skills within the profession as well as in inter – disciplinary professional subjects.
  12. Develop leadership abilities to initiate and bring about changes in all areas of practice.
