This is a 150 bedded multi speciality hospital (Allopathy) having sophisticated and most modern equipments for diaganostic and treatment facitlities with well qualified and experienced doctors.
Hospital is situated in Sulur on the Trichy Road opposite to RVS Campus.

Expected to provide health care to people in Palladam, Avinashi, Sultanpet, Pongalur Blocks apart from Coimbatore city and Tiruppur.

RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT –equipped with a computerized 500 MA x-Ray machine and 60 MA Portable X-Ray machine.
DEPARTMENT OF IMAGING – equipped with a Toshiba Ultra Sound Scan.
LABORATORY SERVICES – Hospital has well equipped Bio-chemistry laboratory with an AUTO-ANALYSER , COMPUTERISED CELL COUNTER SODIUM POTTASIUM ANALYSER and a microbiological laboratory with facilities for bacteriological investigations.

Community
The students are posted to various places like, Kodangipalayam, Kadambadi , Kumarapalayam ,Kalangal and Sengathurai for their clinical postings, where a lot of Mass Education and Health awareness camps are held by the students besides the regular home care visits. All these sub-centers are covered by Somanur PHC.

Somanur is a developing village under the Coimbatore rural District covering a total population of 49,644. It is administered by Panchayat Council and Medical facility available in primary Health Center.

The main occupation of the population is weaving ( at homes) and there are small units of textile mills where men and women are employed as labourers.There are water source facility for drinking water through water pipes and electricity is also available.
There are a Elementary schools and High schools, Government buildings( community hall, village administrative office, cooperative milk booth),Voluntary agencies, Communication facilities, and Health care facilities.

The VI semester students are also posted for Community Health Nursing experience to Gandhigram Institute of Rural Health & Family Welfare, Dindigul for a week.
Hostel facilities
Separate hostels are available for male and female students. It is mandatory for students to stay in the hostel. Basic amenities for accommodation are provided in the hostel. Separate playground for boys and girls for outdoor games, facilities are provided for indoor games. For UG students 4- seated and 6 – seated rooms. For PG students 3- seated rooms are available. It also includes mess, which is run by the trust.

1.ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
As per the guidelines of the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai, the Govt
quota seats(65% of Total seats) will be filled by the Govt based on the merit and Govt norms. Management quota(35%) seats will be filled after ranking the eligible candidates according to their merits by the Tamilnadu Private Professional Colleges association

c) ANM training i.e.10+1 ½ years training should also have passed + 2 or its equivalent examination. |
