COURSE DETAILS:

B.Sc.[Nursing] - 4 Years


RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED IN THE COLLEGE:

Rajalakshmi College of Nursing prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and processional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal and professional oblications.

  • Students are required to be regular and punctual to the class. Students are expected to be in the class at least 5 minutes before the commencement of the period.
  • Students should maintain perfect order and strict silence inside the lecture hall.
  • Unnecessary movement from one bench to another bench should be avoided. Movement outside the class room in between lectures should be minimum and for valid resaons only.


DRESS CODE:

The students are expected to attend college well dressed.

Boys : Trousers, shirt and black shoes.

Girls : Churidars with dhupatta

CLINICALS:

Boys : Grey pant and white shirt with white coat and black shoes.

Girls : Grey colour churidar with white coat and black shoes.


ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • The College will work during an academic year for 1480 hours.
  • A candidate must have minimum of 80% attendance in theory and in each subject for appearing examination.
  • A candidate must have 100% attendance in each of the practical areas.
  • The students should not be absent / take leave without prior permission from the Principal. Any unauthorized absence will be viewed seriously and liable for punishment.
  • If the student is absent for continuous period of five days, he / she shall be deemed to have removed from the rolls of the College. Such students may be readmitted;
  • If a request is made to the Principal explaining the reasons for his / her absence.
  • If the Principal is fully satisfied about the genuiness of the explanations.
  • If the student is unable to return on time after vacation due to illness will submit a detail Medical Certificate with history, treatment and advice which has to be attested.


ACADEMIC STANDARDS:

  • Students should attend all tests and show good academic progress.
  • Regularity in writing tests and satisfactory performance of students in tests are essential for permitting the students to appear for the university examination at the end of the academic year.
  • A candidate failing in more than two subjects in the University Exam will not be permitted to the next year.


DISCIPLINE OF THE STUDENTS:

  • Identity Card is mandatory during College and clinical timings.
  • Rules and regulation in relation to students discipline will be enforce effectively to maintain discipline and to keep up the decorum of the College.
  • Ragging or any other form of indiscipline will invite strict disciplinary action from the management.
  • The use of mobile phone in the premises or the College is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should abide the rules and regulations of the College and hostel strictly.


FEES:

Students are expected to pay all the fees due to the College before the due date as notified by the College. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
