ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1.   The minimum and maximum age for admission shall be 17 and 35 years respectively.
2.   The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of:
a. Higher secondary school certificate examination (12 years course)   
Or Senior school certificate examination (10 + 2)Pre-degree  
examination (10 + 2) or an equivalent with 12 years schooling     
from a recognized board or university with science (physics,
chemistry, biology) or HSC in Nursing with minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
b. Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course from the school  
recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

3.   Candidate shall be medically fit.

Eligible students are selected through an interview

Selection of the candidates is based on the merit of the entrance examination held by university.

B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) Degree course:

Duration           :   2 years (Non Semester)
Annual Intake   :    30
English is the medium of instruction for all subjects of study and for examinations of the course.

AGE LIMIT
The upper age limit is 40 years as on 31st of December of the year of admission.

ELIGIBILITY
a)   Candidates should have:
(i)  passed Diploma in Nursing
(ii)  registered his/her name with any State Nursing Council and
(iii) put in a minimum of two years of nursing service as on 30th June of the admission year in any recognized hospital or educational institution or as a full time Public Health Nurse.
b)   There is no domicile restriction and therefore candidates belonging to any State/Union Territory in India are eligible to apply.

Physical Fitness:
Candidate should produce a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer at the time of admission to the course.

M.Sc. NURSING
Started  : 11.10.1999
Duration: 2 years Non semester

Annual Intake: 30

Medical Surgical Nursing -6, Paediatric Nursing -6, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing -6, Community Health Nursing -6, Psychiatric Nursing -6

Eligibility
A candidate who seeks admission to the first year of M.Sc Nursing Course

  • Should possess B.Sc N(Basic)/ (Post Basic) degree course awarded by this university or awarded by any other university and recognized as equivalent thereto
  • Should have registered his/her name with a state nursing council.
  • Should have put in one year experience after graduation in B.Sc N (Basic)degree alone in any recognized hospital or educational institution
  • Eligibility Certificate
    Candidates graduated from other universities shall be required to obtain an eligibility certificate from the university by remitting the prescribed fees along with the application form for issue of Eligibility certificate and produce it at the time of admission

  • Branch III Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing
