Modern nursing is dynamic therapeutic and educative process in meeting the health needs of the individuals, the family and the community. Nursing is one of the health professions which functions in conjunction with other health care agencies in assisting individuals, families and communities to achieve and maintain desirable standards and maintains desirable standards of health

Vael’s educational Trust believes in the concept of health as laid down by the world Health organization (WHO) i.e.) “ Health is state of complete physical mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease of infirmity

Since nurses provided and will undoubtedly continue to provide a large part of health care, their training should equip them with professional expertise to meet the changing demands of society and their expanding role therein. To achieve this, emphasis must be laid to impart the knowledge and skills most relevant to the health care needs of the community and the country as a whole. This must also be accompanied by a corresponding change in professional attitudes

The international council of nurses states that the unique function of the nurse is to assists the individual, sick of well, in the performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to peaceful death) that he would perform un-aided of he had the necessary strength, will or knowledge. And to do this in such a way to help him gain independence as rapidly as possible

Mission:
 To provide job oriented education, to prepare the younger generation for  a better future by improving the capability to face the competition, to promote research so as to add to fond of existing universal knowledge and to provide social justice to the socially backward by extending the educational facilities to them

Vision:
To participate in the establishment of vibrant and modern India where the young will be free from literacy, unemployment and be internationally competitive enough to fit into the knowledge based society along with self discipline national outlook and religions tolerance

Aims:

The manpower demand for nurses in on increase nationally and internationally. The existing colleges are unable to fill the gap. In addition, rural health care system is becoming handicapped because of lack staff nurses. Hence, it is also difficult to achieve the aim of our nation: “HEALTH TO ALL”

So, we wish to provide Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery course, which will be of more helpful in the health delivery system in the rural areas. A trained Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery personnel is so essential to attend the pregnant women at the time of delivery a child. The present position is such a trained personnel are not available in the rural areas as well as in the semi urban towns

Therefore, to fill this gap and also to meet the ever-growing demands in the foreign countries this course in being planned with the objectives of board basing the education and providing social justice

Objectives:

• To provide education among the socially backward class women
• To provide employment oriented course among the women
• To cater to the needs of growing demand for the Nursing personnel
• Assets the nursing need of clients from birth to death
•  Promote self care in people under their care
• Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care
• to provide the young generation for a batter future by improving their capabilities to face the competition

• To provide social justice to the socially backward by extending educational facilities to them
