Dr. Alva Paramedical Educational Institute was established in 2002.  The institute is managed by Dr. Alva Educational & Charitable trust which is governed by an eminent group of trustees having several credits to their names in the respective fields.  Driven by the vision of its chairman, Dr. K.S. Alva who has transformed the landscape of healthcare in Pollachi Taluk over more than four decades.  The institute has its own hospitals with over 150 beds in two of its hospitals in Pollachi.
