St.Annammal Educational Trust was established in the year 1989 by late  Sri M. Annasamy.  Now it is headed by his wife Mrs. MaryDasiy Rajammal, Managing Trustee.  In the year 2008, a trustee Mrs. Angel Rani, M.Sc.,(Nsg), D.P.M., M.B.A., D/O Late M.Annasamy, a founder Chairman has started Annasamy Rajammal College of Nursing to provide high quality education in the field of Nursing for specially rural students.
The trust runs several Institutions.  The trust felt that Yeoman service rendered to the society by training nurses to meet the health needs of the society.  Therefore the college was started in 2008 with the four years B.Sc.,(Nsg) Degree programme.  The college is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and by The Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.
