Health is a basic need for every human being to survive in the world. In this nurse from major role as a team who would contribute prevention of diseases, care to the patients and health promotion with awareness among the people.
With these objectives to promote higher health education and awareness among the community Deepavi institute of Medical technology training centre trust was founded in 1988. (Registration No: 268 / 88 with an average intake of 20 nursing students and trust were formed in 14 August 1955.
Aim of the trust to promote education in all community and uplift most backward SC/ST students to give them good nursing training with a hope that the students will give effective and genuine nursing care to all suffering people in the hospital as well any part of the country.
Objectives:
The Nurse on completing this course will be able to:
- To educate people to participate in national development.
- To create awareness in social economical cultural aspects of the life through education, awareness camps.
- To provide health education, sanitation, medical care, reproductive health care.
- To train individual students incapacity, personality, sustainability, skill for promotion of health care especially among uneducated and village people and also among others.
- To educate people through nursing students about awareness in health education, family planning and prevention of infectious diseases like AIDS and to prevent or minimize alcoholism and use of drugs and give rehabilitation and de-addiction treatment to the persons affected.
- Gain up knowledge from the education centre.
- To develop leadership skills in working under senior staff and doctors in the hospitals.
- Health development in sick people in all aspects.
- To develop awareness among people about family planning prevalent of infectious diseases like Aids.
- To educate and give antenatal and postnatal care.
- To provide pediatric and geriatric nursing.
