Our Institute has been functioning from 1998 with the approval of Tamilnadu Govt. vide GO (MS) No.487/98 and recognised by Tamil Nadu Nursing Council, Chennai and Indian Nursing Council New Delhi Vide 18 – 29 ¼  2385 – INC.  Accordingly students are admitted and training is being given.  Since then 7 batches of students have successfully completed the course and placed in job in Private Hospitals.  Very few of them are in abroad also.  During the training, in addition to the course subject, students are taking active part in various camps organized by the social organization, Lions club of Pollachi, Govt. hospital, PACS.

For the community training, our college has adopted 19 villages in and around our college premises.  Our students are visiting these villages and census of the people of these villages is gathered.  Our students with faculty visiting each and every house and prepare the Family Health Card.  The periodical visit by our students is carried out and ailing patients are given treatment and medicines.  Particular care is being taken for treating the pregnant women.  They are periodically tested by our Medical officer and a nutritious food package is given to them every month.

In addition to this our students have taken active part and participated in AIDS awareness programmes and processions organized by the AIDS Control society, USAID and Regional Transport authorities.
