SOORIYA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATIONis a registered public charitable trust, established in the year 2000. The aim of the founder is to provide educational /medical services to the poor and needy of the society. To ease out the the scarcity of qualified and well-trained nurses and to meet the health needs of the society.
Sooriya Educational Foundation offered and started Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery.

Dr.C.P.Sreekumar MS.,(Gen)., MS (Ortho)London an eminent person and educationist of international repute is the founder and president of the Board.
Dr.(Mrs).Sooriyakala Sreekumar MD.,DGO.,MRCOG (UK), a dynamic and enterprising gynaecologist is assisting in administration. Her ebility is the strength of the educational foundation and appreciated by one and all.
The registered office of Sooriya Educational Foundation is functioning at  115, Janaki Nagar, Valasaravakkam, Chennai – 87. Tamil Nadu, India.
Senior professionals, Finance Personnels and experienced persons in other field of activities take care of various functions in Sooriya Educational Foundation.
The main objectives are to establish Medical, Paramedical institutions thus providing medical facilities through Hospital and Institution of paramedical and allied Health Sciences, Voluntary Health Centres, Maternity centers etc.
It is planned to start “College of Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy” in future.

Worked as a nursing tutor and Vice Principal in Government Stanley Hospital. (Retired).
Worked as Vice Principal in Sharmila College of  Nursing for 1 year.
